Vagharelu Dahi (Yogurt with Tadka)

Diabetic Friendly - Vagharelu Dahi (Yogurt with Tadka)

Ingredients:

Yogurt (Dahi) - 1 cup
Ghee or oil - 1 tablespoon
Cumin seeds (Jeera) - 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves (Kadi patta) - a few
Green chilies (Hari mirch) - 1-2, finely chopped
Vegetables of your choice ( we have used chopped cabbage and tomatoes)
Salt to taste
Spices - Red chilli powder, haldi , coriander powder - 1/4 tsp each.
Coriander leaves (Dhania patta) - for garnish
Instructions:

Whisk the yogurt until smooth and set aside.
Heat ghee or oil in a pan.
Add cumin seeds, green chillies, and allow them to splutter.
Sauté for a minute. Now add spices and little water. Cook well.
Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool for a minute.
Pour this tadka (tempering) over the whisked yogurt.
Add salt and mix well.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve chilled.
